CAFFE DE VILLE We have a new coffee shop on Main Street in Louisville, MS. Some of yall might remember the dress shop that was there forever but as of Saturday it is now officially a Coffee Shop called CAFFE DE VILLE. I love coffee shops... but I hate coffee... ironic I know, but luckily they have plenty of beverages to choose from that work for me. They opened on Memorial Day Weekend just in time for the RED HILLS FESTIVAL and they looked plenty busy, which is why I went Monday morning. I was limited on time Saturday , just on an hour lunch break and wanting to walk thru the festival too. But they were going to be open on Memorial day and that was my day off so that worked out fine. Love the layout of the place. Nice to have a coffee shop on Main Street again. Loved the Hot Chocolate with caramel I got while I was there. I ate something too but forgot what it was called on the menu. Had a selection of Meats and Cheeses and strawberries and blueberries and such. I would have taken a picture of it but I was hungry. I don't understand these folks taking pics of their food before they eat. They must not be as hungry as I was. I forgot to eat this morning before I went there. Maybe I could have taken a picture of my empty plate and told ya how much I liked it. I did take a few pics of the place. They're not thru setting up, it's just their second day officially open. Check out their facebook page for times and menus. You may see me in there from time to time sippin' on a Hot Chocolate and inking in a comic strip. I might even sit at that table in front of the big window so I can see all of yall as you pass by and you can see me sitting all purty like drawing me comics and sippin' on some hot chocolate. It might fling a craving on ya. Yall have a Bubbatastic day. |

If you are still worried about going out and being around folks then you can live vicariously thru the B.I.T. as Me and some friends go rambling about. If you're not familiar with STARKVEGAS ... then you ain't from around here. That is a nickname for Starkville, Mississippi and it is right close so I like to go there from time to time when I feel like rambling a bit. I drug a couple of friends out with me. We had a great place we love to eat at over there. We got there ... AND IT WAS CLOSED! New weekend hours were closed on Saturday. Why close a restaurant on a Saturday! WHY! Well, we had a second place in mind before we left just in case the first place was too crowded. The second place was not crowded... BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSED TOO!! Each time I looked the places up on the facebook and this time they had COMPLETELY Shut Down. They may be moving their operation so that's good. But we needed someplace to go now. We could see people at a place next door. We were afraid to chose another place in case we cursed it but this place had folks at it already. I checked on the googleeye map and saw it was called GEORGIA BLUE. We tried it out. We liked it. It was a lovely place. We recognized the waitress from the Japanese Steak House we go to. "You're Umi's Girl!" my friend told her. She confirmed it, she thought she recognized us. In a month when we try out another place it will be funny if the same waitress is there. Different places but the same waitress. I digress. The first four photos are from GEORGIA BLUE. I like the design of the place, it's in an older building that's been repurposed for a restaurant. I love it when a restaurant does that. I had the chicken alfredo which was very good and my friends got some sandwiches with house made chips and hose made fries. The really cool thing was the platters their sammiches were brought out on. Two liscense plates attached and bent into platters. I took pictures..... maybe the Backwoods Institue of Technology will be able to reverse engineer the design... it's worth a try. We were in Starkville, why not ramble after eating? So that's what we did. They have a nice comic book shop over there, THE LAST PAGE, that we went to. I found a couple of books to check out. I'll let yall know about them in another article. Then we went to check on the Record Shop cause I like me some Vinyl. Scooter's Records was closed , but we expected this cause it was later on a Saturday and the man got to close down at some time. But it's a cool place, I've been there before. Then, on the way back from there, I told them to stop and lets check out STRANGE BREW. I love quaint coffee shops... but hate coffee... very ironic. But ... they have hot chocolate which I love. I got me a Caramel Peppermint Hot Chocolate there, very good and the ladies behind the counter were very nice. I love the layout of the place. The other pictures are of STRANGE BREW.
