QUICK APPLIANCE REPAIR was my second title to create.  It's two idiot brothers working for their dad in the family appliance repair business.  Ironically enough, I worked for my Dad in our family appliance repair business with my brother.  So needless to say, this strip is near to my heart.... needless to say but I said it anyway.  

This book collects the 15 years of published work I've done with this strip.

MISSISSIPPI SWAMP DRAGONS was the first comic strip I started and it began with the creation of Herman the Psychotic Chicken in his floppy bunny ear hat.  I created Herman around March of 1984.  It would be a few years before I would figure out to pair his with a pessimistic clown and a couple of Swamp Dragons.

I've collected the last 15 years of published MSD strips in the book to the right in it's Mostly Humorous collection.   Even though I've been drawing the strip for over 30 plus years I've only been publishing them for the last 15.  I would stock pile the comics I drew till I could figure out what to do with them.

It was Halloween 1995... it was a Tuesday... I actually remember this.  It was my last day of work at my job before I started packing up to move back to my home town at the end of the week.  I was drawing an idea for a Bat Puppet that I thought would be good for a Mad Scientist costume for a later Halloween.  The more I looked at it the more I thought it would make a good comic.  I left work early that day and went to the Hangout we had in Decatur, MS and fleshed out the rest of the cast for the GOING BATTY comic strip about Doc, a mad scientist and his pet Bat, Merlin.
